What “Verified” Means on PrepKnow
Verification is a trust signal that a business has submitted proof and that an admin has reviewed the request. It does not replace a contract, insurance review, or legal due diligence.
Accepted proof
Business users may submit ID proof, business licence/registration documents, other business proof, business email verification, or request manual phone verification.
Manual phone verification
An admin can look up the public business phone number online and call to confirm the business and listing relationship.
Data deletion
All files and data submitted for verification are deleted after verification is completed. Only a minimal audit trail remains for status, reviewer, and completion time.
Status labels
Unverified Verified Suspended
Last verified
Listings should show a last verified date so users understand how fresh the verification is.
Ongoing quality
A verified business should still keep routes, hours, safety files, and contact details updated.
